Guided Tours

Guided tours are the perfect way for groups of adults to explore the natural history of High Park with an experienced naturalist.  Learn about the unique flora and fascinating creatures that call High Park home, including butterflies, birds, amphibians and mammals. Hike through High Park’s natural ecosystems including the globally endangered black oak savannah, wetlands and woodlands to better understand this vital urban green space.

Fees:
1.5 hour hike for up to 20 people: $150
2 hour hike for up to 20 people: $200
1.5 hour hike for 21-40 people: $300
2 hour hike for 21-40 people: $400

Location

Programs start at the High Park Nature Centre located at near the High Park Avenue main gates at 375 Colborne Lodge Drive (also known as the Forest School).

TTC: At High Park subway station, head south on High Park Ave. to Bloor Street West. Head south on Colborne Lodge Drive (about 3 minute walk). The Forest School is located on the left, just after Spring Road.

Walking/Biking: From the entrance of the park from High Park Ave. and Bloor St. West, Head south on Colborne Lodge Drive (about 3 minute walk). The Forest School is located on the left, just after Spring Road.

Driving: From the entrance of the park from High Park Ave. and Bloor St., head south on West Rd. Continue on the loop which will become Colborne Lodge Drive. The Forest School is located on the right, just before Spring Road.

Cancellation

14 days notice is required for cancellations and 2 days notice to reschedule. For cancellations that occur less than 14 days before the scheduled program or for any cancellation that occurs due to a late attempt at rescheduling, you will be charged 50% of the original program fee.

Weather

Programs will proceed rain, snow or shine. Please remind all participants to dress appropriately for the weather as we will be outdoors for most of the visit. Programs may need to be rescheduled in the case of inclement weather such as heavy rain, thunderstorms, snowstorms, or high winds over 35 km per hour. If a program is rescheduled by the High Park Nature Centre, we will contact you at least 1 hour prior to your start time on the day of the program. If inclement weather prevents you from attending your program, we will do our best to reschedule your visit.

Accessibility
