From the golden Sassafras leaves to the crimson hues of the Red Maples, High Park trees are stunning in the autumn. Join us to learn why most deciduous trees “decide” to lose their leaves every winter and why most conifers keep their needles. We’ll also delve into the science behind the hidden colours which are revealed in leaves during the fall and the reasons why we suggest not raking your whole yard. We might even find a giant leaf pile to jump in!
This event is great for all ages – bring the whole family!
No pre-registration necessary, this is a drop-in event. Suggested donation of $2-$5 per person.
Meet at: High Park Nature Centre located at 375 Colborne Lodge Dr.
