We invite you to build your friendship with nature by exploring the many gifts and riches found in all four corners of High Park. Find your way around, discover different habitats and use all your senses when enjoying nature with a bunch of curious folks in the middle of a big city. We will learn about, play and track nature together while leisurely hiking the park.
Note: These programs are family friendly. Barring the November 19 "How Can We Listen to Nature?" nature hike, not all trails we use will be stroller or wheelchair accessible. This program will be fully outdoors, with access to indoor washrooms.

Ravine Walk: Saturday, October 8 (1:30-3PM)
Trees are the guardians of Toronto's unique ravine landscape. Join us to celebrate High Park's amazing diversity of trees, its many beautiful ravines, and learn about the City of Toronto's ravine strategy. We'll visit and get to know the trees, and see how they're holding everything together!
Bats and Rats and Moths, Oh My!: Friday, October 21 (7-8:30PM)
Who comes out after we go to bed? Can you hear the bats flying overhead, or the haunting who? who? of the owls? What was that rustle in the bushes? Join us for a night-time hike to discover High Park after dark!
How Can We Listen to Nature?: Saturday, November 5 and 19, (1:30-3PM)
Can trees talk? Do plants communicate? Can a raccoon carry a conversation? We might not be able to talk as easily with other species as we can with our own, but if we pay close attention, we can learn to notice the needs of those around us. Turn on your curiosity and come ready to use all your senses for this guided nature walk!
Note: The November 19 nature hike will use stroller accessible trails. We will use wider trails, with no steep inclines or declines. Please note, not all trails will be paved.
All in-person programs will meet outside the High Park Nature Centre at 375 Colborne Lodge Drive.
This program is family friendly. Please note, not all trails we use will be stroller or wheelchair accessible.
