Happy Camper Fund Bursary Application

We have closed Happy Camper Fund applications for the 2023 summer camp season. You may still apply to our Happy Camper Fund for nature clubs and camps for the spring 2023 season.

Nature is an amazing adventure! High Park Nature Centre participants run, hike, climb, sing, explore, get dirty, make new friends and connect to nature in downtown Toronto’s largest urban park.

We want all kids to experience the joy that time in nature can bring and grow up with a connection to the natural world. We strive to keep our programs accessible to all families and invite anyone who finds our program fees limiting to apply to our programs. Our bursary program is available to individuals and families for our clubs and camps.

Click here for information on how to donate to the Happy Camper Fund.

This program has been made possible thanks to a generous donor (that wishes to remain anonymous).

Can I apply for the bursary before registering for camps or clubs?

For Summer Camp:
No. You will need to secure a camp spot before applying for a bursary.

Summer camp registration day is very competitive, and camp spots fill within minutes. You will be required to pay a $50 deposit to secure the spot.

Click here for some tips for registering on registration day.

For Nature Clubs, PA Day Camp, March Break and Winter Break Camp:
If it is at least a week before registration opens, you can apply to the bursary before registering. If your bursary is confirmed we will send you a coupon code to use when registering.

If it is less than a week before registration opens, we cannot guarantee we will have time to review your application before registration.

If registration is already open, we recommend registering to confirm your spot first and then applying to the bursary. If you apply to the bursary before securing a spot the program may fill before we can confirm your bursary. You will be required to pay the full fee to secure a spot. If you would like to apply to the bursary but are unable to pay the full price of the program, please contact Julia Miller-Black, Programs Supervisor, at jmillerblack@highparknaturecentre.com.
