Savannah Soirée: High Park Nature Centre's 25th Anniversary Fundraiser

Thursday, June 20, 6:30-9PM

NOTE: Pre-registration is required for all our events, hikes and workshops. We do this to ensure we don’t exceed our capacity for indoor events or the maximum limits for group sizes on High Park’s ecologically sensitive trails. Please register on our website before coming to High Park.

We cannot guarantee availability of walk-in spots. If an event is at capacity, please put yourself on our waitlist. We will notify waitlisted participants if we open up new spots or sessions for our events. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Savannah Soirée Fundraiser for the High Park Nature Centre Details

We invite you to celebrate High Park Nature Centre’s 25th Anniversary with our fundraiser event on the first day of summer!

To mark this special occasion, we are hosting our inaugural Savannah Soirée at the historic Forest School nestled within High Park. With appetizing hors d’oeuvres, ambient guitar strings, and opportunities to learn about the Forest School, explore nature and connect with members of the High Park community — this enchanting evening promises to be a celebration of our shared commitment to conservation, curiosity, and connection to nature.

Guests will enjoy a stand-up reception with delicious food and mocktails. We will also have the opportunity to go outside for a campfire in OURSpace (our outdoor savannah learning garden) where guests can enjoy short presentations about owls and bats, use our bat detectors in the evening sky and engage in other fun activities to give you a taste of our nature programming in High Park. We will also have some live music, get to know Houdini and Snappy, our educational animal ambassadors and have the opportunity to bid on some wonderful items at our fundraiser auction.

All funds raised will directly support our stewardship programs and help us ensure a sustainable future in High Park for generations to come.

Ticket price: $100 per person (Tax receipts will be provided for 50% of the ticket price)
Dress Code: Garden Party Casual

This event will begin at the High Park Nature Centre’s Forest School building located at 375 Colborne Lodge Drive.

A number of changes were made to the travel network within High Park as part of the High Park Movement Strategy that might influence your decision to drive to High Park. In case you’re driving we strongly recommend you to park your car at the public parking lot near Grenadier Cafe.

We continue to recommend using the TTC or biking as the best way to get to High Park and the Nature Centre. The Nature Centre is situated just a 5-minute walk from the High Park Subway Station. In case you were biking, there are bike racks available in front of the Nature Centre.

Visit our How To Get Here page to learn more about planning your trips to High Park.

$100 per person (Tax receipts will be provided for 50% of the ticket price)

Note: Refunds will not be issued in case you are unable to attend the fundraiser or decide to cancel your ticket.

The dress code for our fundraiser is garden party casual. We will spend portions of our time both indoors and outdoors.
