Air is Life

Join the Taiaiako’n Historical Preservation Society and the High Park Nature Centre for a Spring gathering to honor the Life-giving wonder of Air. As Summer approaches, Guided by Elders Donna Powless (Cayuga, Six Nations), Catherine Tammaro (Wyandot, Anderdon Nation), and Opal Sparks we invite a Re-Storying that acknowledges High Park as Indigenous Land, the long work that Indigenous peoples have done, and the work left yet to do.

 

Air is one of the four Sacred Elements of Creation alongside Water, Fire, and Earth. Join us in celebrating the gift of Air through Ceremony, Feasting, Fire, culminated with a mindful guided art practice with Catherine Tammaro.
