NOTE: Pre-registration is required for all our events, hikes and workshops. We do this to ensure we don’t exceed our capacity for indoor events or the maximum limits for group sizes on High Park’s ecologically sensitive trails. Please register on our website before coming to High Park.
We cannot guarantee availability of walk-in spots. If an event is at capacity, please put yourself on our waitlist. We will notify waitlisted participants if we open up new spots or sessions for our events. Please contact us if you have any questions.

High Park Hikeathon Fundraiser for High Park Nature Centre Details
Support the Nature Centre by participating in our inaugural Annual High Park Hikeathon. Bring your friends and family along for a self‑guided morning hike along a curated route that showcases the beauty and biodiversity of High Park in springtime. What’s more? Your participation and fundraising will help support our Happy Camper Fund — making nature connection opportunities financially accessible for many deserving children! It’s a fun, meaningful way to connect with the park, support environmental education, and welcome a vibrant new season outdoors.
Ticket price:
- Adults (18+ years): $25 registration fee per person
- Family (includes 2 Adults + all children ages 17 years and under): $60 registration fee
Note: Charitable tax receipts will not be issued for the registration fee. Tax receipts will only be issued for any donations made to the fundraising campaign.
Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Fundraising
High Park Hikeathon is a peer-to-peer (P2P) fundraising event. Once you register for the event, you’ll have access to your dedicated fundraising page, which you can use to collect donations from your network of friends, family and colleagues. All these donations will go directly towards supporting High Park Nature Centre’s Happy Camper Fund.
Here are some tips on how to get going:
- Set up a realistic fundraising goal
- Use an attention-grabbing name for your fundraising page
- Share your page with your community via social media
- Set an example for others by making the very first donation

This event will start and end at the High Park Forest School building (375 Colborne Lodge Drive) and feature learning stations along the way where hikers can pause to explore nature and learn more about the Nature Centre and our programs.

The Cause: Happy Camper Fund
Your donation helps grow our Happy Camper Fund, a bursary that ensures children and families facing financial barriers can experience the joy, discovery, and belonging that our nature programs provide. We’ve set a goal to raise $5,000 in support of our Happy Camper Fund. The Hikeathon is the perfect way to connect with nature, support environmental education, and celebrate the start of a vibrant new season outdoors in Toronto’s High Park.

This event will start at the High Park Forest School building located at 375 Colborne Lodge Drive.
We continue to recommend using the TTC or biking as the best way to get to High Park and the Nature Centre. The Nature Centre is situated just a 5-minute walk from the High Park Subway Station.
Please note, High Park is closed to cars on the weekends. If your event is on a weekend, you will need to park outside the park and walk in, or take transit.

Refunds will not be issued in case you are unable to attend the fundraiser or decide to cancel your ticket.
This event is family friendly and open to kids and adults of all ages.
To minimize environmental impacts from trampling, our hike route will follow sidewalks along West Road and Colborne Lodge Drive. This hike route is family- and dog-friendly. You are required to leash your dog at all times during the hike.
The hike route along the sidewalks are relatively flat and easy to walk along, but are not AODA compliant. Our Forest School facility is not yet an AODA-compliant facility. We try our best to accommodate accessibility needs on a case-by-case basis. Please reach out to us about any accessibility-related questions you might have.
