Meeting the Pollinators in High Park

Wednesday, September 6, 7-8 PM

Meeting the Pollinators in High Park Presentation Details

While researching his book, Paths of Pollen (McGill-Queens University Press), author and Parkdale resident Stephen Humphrey witnessed and photographed numerous native pollinators from High Park’s diverse local community, such as beetles, bees, wasps, moths, flies and butterflies, along with native plants they pollinate.

In his presentation, Stephen will show you High Park’s amazing pollination community up close. His talk will feature photos and stories of his encounters with pollinators and plants. He will discuss why ecosystems need these fascinating, important creatures. You’ll also get a sneak preview of his book, Paths of Pollen, prior to its official launch.
