Community Walk with Ontario SwiftWatch

Tuesday, August 1, 6:30-8PM

Community Walk with Ontario SwiftWatch Details

Join us and special guest Ontario SwiftWatch for a community nature walk to learn about aerial insectivores, like Great Crested Flycatchers, Barn Swallows, and Chimney Swifts, who forage and live in High Park.

We’ll meet at the Nature Centre then venture through the park with our eyes to the skies.  Along the way, we’ll talk about the needs of aerial insectivores, the threats they face, and how we can help them.

Ontario SwiftWatch is a community science monitoring and conservation program from Birds Canada that provides volunteers and community groups an opportunity to act as stewards for Chimney Swifts.
