Read Our Registration Policies

To accommodate more nature clubs and foster stronger nature connections between participants and nature at High Park, we have decided to pause our birthday party programming this season. Check out our nature club offerings this season and consider signing up your child for a more holistic, immersive, and educational experience to continue building on their relationship with nature!

COVID-19: Adjustments to programs

We have made adjustments to our programs to make sure that we keep ourselves and our community safe and continue to follow the guidelines of Toronto Public Health. Although we are making efforts to increase health and safety, we cannot guarantee that you or your child will not contract COVID-19 at our programs.

All program participants must complete a COVID-19 screening upon arrival.

HPNC COVID policies are continuing to develop, especially as we hear more from Public Health officials. We may put more policies in place and all birthday party bookings will be subject to these new policies.

You can find our COVID-19 Updates here.

Program Time

Hosts may arrive 15 minutes before the start of the party to complete a COVID-19 questionnaire and put any gear in the Nature Centre. Parties include one hour for intro activities and a hike and a one hour campfire, prefaced by a brief fire safety session, for self-directed time.

Parties will run on Saturdays, with one available timeslot: 10:00am-12:00pm.

Location

Our birthday parties will be entirely outdoors, and the meet-up spot will be our main building, at 375 Colbourne Lodge Drive. In the event of rain, we have a covered verandah where the second hour of the party can take place (instead of the fire). You will have access to indoor washrooms that are thoroughly cleaned on a regular basis (masks are required).

Maximum number of attendees

20 people max, 15 kids max

We can have a maximum of 20 people, with no more than 15 children/youth. Kids 3 and under who are on their feet (not babes in arms) are counted towards the maximum numbers. Children from 0-5 must be accompanied by an adult.

Party Theme

We're going to offer a multi-sensory hike through High Park's 3 ecosystems: black oak savannah, the woodlands, and the wetlands. We'll focus on expanding our nature detective skills! Nature interpreters will connect the experience to animals and plants and other nature happenings of the moment, in the context of the season. The experience will be adapted for different age groups. Activities and games engaged with along the way will adhere to physical distancing requirements.

Cost

$400

Please read our registration policies.
