Welcome to Staff Spotlight! Here we highlight the diverse stories of our valuable staff!
I started my career with the HPNC very recently; my first day was November 27th! As the Executive Director I will be overseeing the day-to-day operations, liaising with the Board of Directors, and working with all staff and volunteers towards the continued success of the organization and their own professional goals. I have big shoes to fill but I am up for the challenge!
I have always had a hand in nature (literally!) having grown up on a farm in Simcoe County. If my hands weren't dirty from playing in my tree house or caring for my many pets, they were dirty because I was making mud pies or playing in the garden.
My academic journey began at the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Zoology. I focused my elective courses on natural resource policy and human impact on the environment. I then attended Sir Sandford Fleming College and obtained an Ecosystem Management Technology Diploma. Over the past few years I have continued to develop my French skills, supervisory skills, and delved into the world of Coaching for Leadership. If I am not learning and growing, I'm not living!
