Animal Tracks (Suitable for Ages 6 and up)

rewild-tracks.png#asset:8992

Duration: 60 minutes

Cost: $120

In the Animal Tracks program, we'll focus on the spring season and look for tracks left behind by animals and plants that teach us about this special time of growth and renewal. Learning about tracking expands our awareness and teaches us how to read the landscape like a book by tuning into the "stories" left behind by animals, people, and the seasons.

We’ll send you away with an extended learning package which you can do on your own time at home. This will include a recap of the course material and additional challenges you can take with you during nature explorations, whether you’re going out for walks, or looking out a window.

Duration: 60 minutes

Cost: $120

Birds have so much to teach us and can tune us into the stories happening in the environment at any given moment. In this interactive online presentation we’ll dive into the basics of urban birds, those that many living in and around Toronto are most likely to meet. We’ll learn about how birds respond to the city and the city’s impacts upon them and have some fun through drawing and listening activities that will help us build our tools for identifying birds.

Brilliant Bats: Our Friends of the Night Sky (Ages 6 and up - adults too!)

4_201201_131533.png#asset:8483

Duration: 60 minutes

Cost: $120

Bats are simply amazing creatures, though they are often misunderstood. Bats support nature in a variety of ways, as pollinators, pest controllers, and seed dispersers. Unfortunately, bats are experiencing a lot of stress caused by human impacts, such as habitat loss, climate change, disease, and more recently ‘bad press’ related to misinformation about their relationship to the coronavirus. In this program we’ll learn about the amazing gifts that bats provide, investigate negative human impacts and things we can do to reverse these, we’ll get straight on the facts about bats and coronavirus, and play an interactive game.

We’ll send you away with an extended learning package which you can do on your own time at home. This will include a recap of the course material and additional challenges you can take with you during nature explorations, whether you’re going out for walks, or looking out a window.
