Wild Bee Club

Find out all the buzz about High Park’s native bees and learn how you can help their populations thrive in our Wild Bee Club.

Our Wild Bee Club is back

Wild Bee Club is a great way to learn about pollinators and participate in community science! Each week, we will work with bee expert Susan Frye to identify some of the amazing pollinators of High Park.

This summer, we will be hosting 11 sessions of this club on Saturdays from 10-11:30AM.

Summer sessions: June 24, July 8, July 15, July 22, July 29, August 12, August 19, August 26, September 9, September 16, September 23

Note: We understand that summer is a busy time – you do not need to attend every session of this club. We ask that you can commit to attending at least six sessions.

We’re also hosting a series of presentations led by experts in native bees and pollinators. Our upcoming lectures include:

  • Saturdays, 10AM-12PM
  • Dates: June 24, July 8, July 15, July 22, July 29, August 12, August 19, August 26, September 9, September 16, September 23, September 30
  • In addition to our Wild Bee Club sessions, we will be doing collaborative sessions with our Weedy Wednesdays program participants:
    • Wednesdays, 6-8 PM
    • Dates: COMING SOON

Adults ages 17 years and above.

This program is funded by the TD Friends of the Environment Foundation. We are grateful for their generous support of this and our other community science and stewardship programs in High Park.

To make this program as accessible as possible, we will provide TTC passes for those who need them to get to and from the Nature Centre. In addition to the program being free of cost, participants will also be provided free healthy snacks as part of the program.
