Word of the week is Colony [KOL] + [UH] + [NEE] (noun): a group, or gathering of bats is often called a colony. Sometimes it can also be referred to as a cloud, or cauldron.
To be a bat colony the group of bats only needs to have as few as TWO bats.
In honour of Halloween this week – we thought we would feature the word of the week as a group of bats! Happy Halloween!
