Word of the Week: Liquescent

Welcome to Word of the Week! Stay tuned for a new word each week to amp up your nature vocabulary!

The word of the week is liquescent [LI-KWEH-SNT] (adjective): being or tending to become liquid.

As winter turns to spring, we have the privilege of witnessing High Park’s snow-covered icy landscape melt away into puddles or little streams that flow down the ravine trails and drain into the park’s many water bodies rejeuventaing the land for springtime! High Park in a state of liquescence sure is a seasonal sight to behold!

The importance and need to protect water cannot be understated. Check out our water walk event with Vivian Recollet and don’t miss out on an opportunity to awaken your responsibility and reciprocal relationship to water!
